Capt. Chad O'Connell

Meet my best friend, Chad O'Connell. He is 25 years old. We have been friends for about 13 years. Chad and I met at a MDA Christmas Party, shortly after he moved here (Rochester) from Arizona. Over the years, we have been through many things together, both good and bad. We worked a few summers together at a school, doing various office jobs. Our favorite job of all time was using the giant paper shredder. We did a lot of experimenting, seeing what all we could put through the shredder. One job that we really hated was stuffing hundreds of envelopes.

Chad and I also attended Edinboro University together. He started a year before me, he told me all about and I couldn't wait to get there. The minute I arrived on campus I knew that it would be a blast. Chad introduced me to all the "cool" people. I was there a week and I was already going to kick ass parties. I went for 2-1/2 years, and had to leave due to serious health problems. Recently, Chad finished up his 4 years at Edinboro, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Animation.

Chad enjoys Sci Fi, Action, Horror, and especially Jackie Chan movies. Chad and I used to have a fascination with badly made horror films such as, the Puppet master series, and the Kindred. For an instant laugh, just mention "The Lizard Man"(remember him Chad?) Chad is also addicted to video games, like me. He has had almost every system put out on the market. He also has a vast interest in the many forms of music. Thank god, he's finally learned that rap really sucks! He's never liked country (and I hope I never hear otherwise).

Ms. Emily Wolinsky

My friend Emily Wolinsky is 22 years old. She is a "REAL" sweetheart. She is always willing to give her opinion, even if it isn't wanted. I like Emily for that reason, besides I can handle her if necessary. For the most part Emily is very easy to like, however some people have certain hang ups about her mainly (Chad). I met Emily in the hospital when were around 6 or so. We had rooms next to each other when we were taking part in a 3 day research study for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She also is from the Rochester area.

Emily also attended Edinboro University, where she double minored in Psychology and English Literature. She started a year after I did. Emily was definitely, what you would call a "model" student, lacking the important skill of getting "loaded, slammed, hammered, sloshed" etc.... Emily graduated from Edinboro with a bachelors degree in psychology, this past May.

Emily moved to Austin, TX shortly after graduation, to pursue a career? She had a little trouble at first getting settled in, and finding a job. I learned on a recent phone conversation with Emily, that she found a reasonable job at a local school.

My friend Kareen Z. is 21 years old, she lives in Rochester NY. I consider Kareen the brains of the group. She is very smart compared to the rest of us. Kareen attends the University of Rochester where she studies Law. This summer Kareen had an internship with the Public Interest Law Office of Rochester. Very soon will be taking a BAR exam for law school. Kareen and Emily are best friends, they call each other constantly! Like Emily, Kareen is always there to talk to.

Ethan "Dogboy" Knepp

My friend Ethan "Dogboy" Knepp is 21 years old. He lives near Altoona PA. I met Ethan 2 years ago at college. He is a really good person to know. Ethan is obsessed with computers. He has shown me how to do many cool things on my computer. Ethan always helps me decorate my dorm room with awesome things. He has gotten me obsessed with glow in the dark stuff. My room is usually covered with stars and black light items. In the summer, Ethan works at a pool company near his house. He spends all day cleaning pools. Ethan loves to cruise around in his car blasting his tunes, he loves vanilla ice cream, and he loves his girlfriend Casey. This year Ethan is working at school as an RA. Michelle Keenan

I met Michelle on the Net through a disability site. We started chat on the AOL Instant Messenger, and found out we live 20 minutes from each other. Now I consider Michelle one of my best friends. Like me Michelle has a warped sense of humor, and loves to be sarcastic. Michelle is a C-5/6 quadriplegic, due to a horseback riding mishap almost 5 years ago. Netta Ganor

Netta Ganor is 19 yrs old, and lives in Israel. I met her on the net, when I came across her website. She is in a wheelchair due to a rare syndrome called, Transverse Myelitis. Check Out: Netta's Page

Jenni4

This is my newest Internet buddie Jennifer! She was paralyzed a little over a year ago, in a diving accident. She is now a quadriplegic with no movement below her neck. Despite her condition Jennifer has a wonderful attitude and is great to talk to. She has created a cool website telling about her life both before and after her accident.
