My Home Health Aides are almost part of my family. My aides help me with various things that I cannot do for myself. They help me get out of bed, showered, and dressed. They also fix some of my meals mainly, breakfast and lunch. Certain aides are allowed to take me out in my van, to the mall, or Taco Bell (YUM!!!)

Allen Tompkins

Allen Tompkins is one of my favorite aides, because I've known him for several years. Allen and I love to joke around constantly. A lot of our humor is very cynical, if you are weak-heart it is best to stay away! We find humor in almost every thing or situation we get into. Allen drives me to college on the days I have classes. He also takes me to doctor's appointments, or anywhere else that I would like to go.

  Pam Baker

Pam Baker is another one of my favorite aides. Like Allen, she also has a great sense of humor. Having a sense of humor is very important to me. If you can't joke around about things in life, your life isn't going to be much fun. Pam is very fun to be around, I feel I can tell her anything I want. Pam comes during the morning on weekdays.

Donna Williams is also one of my favorite aides. She usually comes in the afternoon and early evening. Donna is very fun to hang-out with. She loves a lot of the same music I like, especially Dave Matthews Band. Donna also is able to drive me to class, the doctors, or anywhere else I need to go. I sometimes think of Donna as a second mother. In Febuary 2000 got in a car accident on the way home from my house. She was roughed up, but not hurt bad. Her shoulder started giving her problems, and she had to quit for the time being. I'm hoping she comes back soon. In the summer of 2000 Donna got married to her husband Mark. He is a really cool guy and I love to hang out with both of them.

Geraldine Tuper is another cool aide that is enjoyable to be around. You can tell that Gerry is a very nice person the minute you meet her. She is almost a second grandma to me. Gerry usually comes and helps me 3 nights a week.

Loretta Patterson is a great aide, who loves to help out. We consider Loretta almost as part of our family. She would do virtually, anything for anybody. Loretta usually comes and helps me on the nights that Gerry is not here.
